Balance drills like the one-leg balance exercise are really important to help maintain balance as you age. Drills are simple and easy to integrate into any exercise routine. For a more advanced balance exercise, close your eyes when performing the balance exercise.

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1

Raise one leg off the floor and raise your arms out to the side in a straightened position, in line with your shoulders. Balancing on one foot, focus on keeping one leg raised and arms out to the side. Hold for 10-30 seconds and repeat on the other side.
