juicesIt can be difficult to eat the recommended 5 servings of vegetables and 3 servings of fruit every day. Here’s a smart solution: Start juicing! It’s a quick and easy way to maximize your intake of fruits and veggies and meet your daily dietary goals. Stronger, “greener” juices can be diluted with unsweetened coconut water as needed. Juices can also boost energy levels, making it an ideal morning beverage or afternoon pick-me-up! The “Rise and Shine” bursts with lemonade-like flavor and makes a great introductory drink for those who have never juiced before, or for those who don’t like strong vegetable flavors. The Hot Tomato Cocktail and Cantaloupe Cooler are also sweet, and as the recipes progress, more vegetables are added, increasing the nutrient value and vegetable flavor.

To prepare each juice, simply process all ingredients in the juicer and serve over ice for a cold and refreshing drink! Each recipe serves 1.

Rise and Shine

  • 4-5 peeled carrots, ends trimmed
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • 1 apple
  • 1 handful of romaine lettuce, optional

Hot Tomato Cocktail

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 lime, peeled
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 green onions
  • 1 jalapeño (or bell pepper)
  • 1 handful of spinach or kale

Cantaloupe Cooler

  • 1⁄2 cantaloupe, peeled
  • 1 lime, peeled
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 handful of spinach or kale
  • 2 carrots
  • 12 pitted cherries

Ginger-Mint Morning

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1⁄2-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 apple or 2 carrots
  • 1 lemon, peeled
  • A few stems of mint and parsley

Carribean Sunrise

  • 1⁄2 pear
  • 1⁄2 green apple or 1 cup blueberries or raspberries
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 1⁄2 peeled beet
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1⁄2 cucumber
  • 1⁄2-inch piece of ginger
  • 1 slice of papaya, mango or pineapple

Tropical Powerhouse Punch

  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 3 kale stalks
  • 2 carrots
  • 1⁄2 cucumber
  • 1⁄2 avocado
  • 1 mango or 1⁄2 pineapple

Vim and Vigor

  • 1 cucumber
  • 3-4-inch piece parsnip or carrot
  • A few broccoli stems/spinach
  • 2 celery stalks
  • A few stems of bok choy or kale

  • 1 avocado

Very, Very Green Machine

  • 2 celery stalks

  • 3 kale leaves
  • 2 celery stems

  • Coconut water if too thick or too spicy

Frozen Pineapple Strawberry Beet Lemonade

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen canned beets
  • 1 juiced lemon or 2 tablespoons frozen lemon juice concentrate
  • 1 cup water or coconut water
